China-based Arctech Solar has secured contracts to supply tracking systems to 288 MWp of solar projects in Mexico from Spanish renewables company Bester Generacion.

This is Arctech’s debut on the Mexican market. The tracking solution selected by Bester is the Skyline horizontal single-axis tracker, which will be used at two photovoltaic (PV) parks in Ahumada, Chihuahua state. The tracking system has an anti-theft function to reduce onsite security costs.

Arctech will have only 90 days delivery time from production to project site for the first portion of the contract. Commercial operation of the first 144-MWp facility is targeted by the end of the year, while the second one will be up and running in 2019.
