CleanMax Solar recognized by MNRE for ‘Excellence in Rooftop Solar Developers’

CleanMax Solar has been honored twice by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for excellence in the rooftop solar industry, recognizing its leading role in the industry, in which it is the largest player, with 28% market share. CleanMax was the only solar developer to be honored twice at the event, in both the “developer” and “EPC” categories. The “National Excellence Awards 2016” were bestowed at the “National Workshop on Roof Top Solar Power” organized by MNRE at VIgyan Bhavan, MNRE on 7th June, 2016.

Mr. Kuldeep Jain, Managing Director, CleanMax Solar received the prestigious awards from Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Mr. Jain had also been invited, as the only representative from the private sector, to share his perspective and recommendations to government on achieving the government’s ambitious goals for rooftop solar in the country.

With more than 50 commissioned rooftop solar plants across India totaling more than 30 MW, CleanMax supplier solar power to leading corporates across the country. Since its founding in 2011, CleanMax has developed some of the largest rooftop plants in the country. These include the largest rooftop Power Purchase Agreement in India with a capacity of more than 3 MW, the largest rooftop solar project in Karnataka with a capacity of 2 MW, and the largest rooftop solar project in Gujarat with a project capacity of 2 MW.

The prominent National Workshop of Roof Top Solar Power was attended by more than 1200 delegates from government and industry, including, in addition to Hon. Piyush Goyal, secretaries of a Ministries of Government of India, regulators, Distribution Companies and State Governments and was held with the vision of expanding the Government of India’s ambitious plans to install 40,000 MW of rooftop solar by the year 2022.
