Senior Congress MLA and former minister Ram Niwas Rawat on Friday alleged corruption by the state government officials in the purchase of solar energy.
The matter came up during the Question Hour when Rawat accused that the conditions in the MoU signed between government and private solar power companies were altered from solar thermal system to solar plate system.
He even named an official, who he claimed, has applied for VRS after being accused of irregularities. He alleged that a complaint has been registered with the Lokayukta for corruption in the solar power deal and yet “the government keeps sleeping over it”.
