World Bank News Release: Loan and Credit Summary
WASHINGTON: The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:
India Energy Efficiency Scale-up Program
IBRD Loan: US$220 million
IBRD guarantee: $80 million
Terms: Maturity = 19 Years, Grace = 5 Years
IBRD guarantee will partially cover re-payment risks to commercial lenders or investors, to enable EESL to raise funds for its program.
Project ID: P162849
Project Description: The program development objective is to help scale up the deployment of energy saving measures in residential and public sectors, strengthen EESL’s institutional capacity, and enhance its access to commercial financing. The program will be implemented by the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).
