Meyer Burger’s leading solar technologies generate immense interest during Intersolar Europe in Munich.
At the Intersolar Europe 2016 in Munich, Germany, Meyer Burger presented its industry leading photovoltaic technologies for the manufacture of high quality and high efficiency solar wafers, cells and modules. At a parallel event during the exhibition, Meyer Burger was awarded the Solar+Power Award 2016 for its innovative DW288 Series 3 diamond wire cutting solution with the Diamond Wire Management System (DWMS).
Meyer Burger Technology Ltd (SIX Swiss Exchange MBTN) is able to look back on a very successful Intersolar Europe exhibition in Munich, where its high performance heterojunction (HJT) solar cell coating technology and its high efficiency SmartWire Connection Technology (SWCT) for connecting solar cells generated strong interest among exhibition visitors. A further technology highlight was the presentation of Meyer Burger’s new diamond wire cutting solution, the DW288 Series 3.
The DW288 Series 3 was recognised with the Solar+Power Award 2016 in the Industry Development category at a parallel event during the exhibition. This is the second award this year which Meyer Burger’s diamond wire solution for the manufacture of silicon-based high performance solar cells has received from a prestigious industry magazine. The DW288 Series 3 was also recently awarded the Technology Highlight Award 2016 by PV Magazine. These two awards highlight the importance and the innovative value of Meyer Burger’s newest generation of diamond wire technology within the solar industry. The successful conclusion of a major contract with a tier one customer for the DW288 Series 3 diamond wire saw and the MB PERC upgrade cell technology on the MAiA 2.1 platform which was published on 23 June 2016 further underscores Meyer Burger’s ability to optimally meet its customers’ production requirements.
