New 26.5 MW photovoltaic installation in Uruguay

The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo has installed 26.5 MW of fixed structures for the”Alto Cielo” solar photovoltaic park located in Tomás Gomensoro (in the department of Artigas, Uruguay), owned by TerraForm Global, Inc. The work was completed in 5 months. The structures used were installed at a tilt angle of 25˚ and are both robust and dependable, having been designed to adapt perfectly to the terrain with a quick and simple set up.
The company Grupo Clavijo is very active on the American continent, having completed important projects both in Latin America (Chile, Honduras, Uruguay, El Salvador, Panama, Mexico and Puerto Rico) and in the USA. The international structure of the Group, with production plants in Spain, South Africa, USA, Chile and Brazil, and offices in California and Miami (USA), Abu Dhabi, Chile and Brazil, as well as its corporate headquarters in Spain, means that it is able to develop projects all over the world with the security and reliability of more than 1.2 GW installed successfully.

GrupoClavijo holds the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001certifications, as well as acknowledgements such as the structural safety certificate awarded by TÜV-NORD for its fixed structures, the Technical DueDiligence (bankability report) by Black & Veatch (B&V) and the certification in the execution of steel structures for the structural components that it designs and manufactures, according to UNE-EN 1090-1, with execution class EXC2, certifying the quality of its structural calculations for the sizing of components, its factory production control and the performance of those components.
