Important information about new inverter software

Since the end of November 2017, KACO new energy has been providing software with a version number from the 4.xx range for the following inverters: blueplanet 50.0 TL3 INT, Powador 39.0-72.0 TL3, blueplanet 15.0-20.0 TL3, Powador 6.0-20.0 TL3.

Important for you to know: Following the change of the version number from 3 to 4, many certificates for our inverters are only valid if the device is equipped with a 4.xx software version. A software update may therefore be required for devices that you have in stock before installation.

The perfect inverter for coastal areas

The OD+ variant of the blueplanet 50.0 TL3 INT inverter has been equipped with special parts so as to make it permanently resilient against salt air corrosion in coastal areas: Whereas installation is not usually recommended up to a distance of 2000 meters from the sea, the blueplanet 50.0 TL3 OD+ can be installed as near as 500 meters from the shoreline.

An outstanding combination of architecture and solar technology

The Grosspeter Tower in Basel serves three purposes at once: hotel, office block and power plant. The façade is made up of a grid of generously sized windows and solar modules. An award-winning idea:

The solar skyscraper received a Special Recognition Award as a finalist of the Bavarian “Architectural Award Building-Integrated Solar Technology”; it also took the “Prix Solaire Suisse” for Best New Building.

Campus goes green with solar energy

Our most recent order in Latin America led us to El Salvador: The Universidad Francisco Gavidia in the capital city of San Salvador has installed a solar system with an output of 784 kilowatts on its roofs, which covers 60 percent of the university’s energy requirements.

This is just one of many projects we have this year supplied in South America with our wide range of commercial inverter products. We had previously equipped the largest PV rooftop installation in Central America in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, for example.

First service partner in Sri Lanka

Regen Renewables is our first partner in Sri Lanka to offer service on our behalf. After one week of training, we were able to hand over the official certificate to the company from Colombo at the end of November.

The trainings take place at our headquarters in Neckarsulm. Under the leadership of our Global Service Division (GSD), headed by Bernhard Kühner (left), our partners have a special technical room for training at their disposal. In January we will start with training courses for further service contracts.
