Traffic cops and traffic brigade personnel won’t have to swelter in heat while manning the vehicles during the summers this year. The police department has installed fans that run with solar power in some traffic stands that are used by the cops to manage the traffic at signals.

Not just fans, the solar panels that provide power in these stands will also charge mobile phones and LED light. The police department is expected to install these solar panels in stands kept at crossroads in busy areas. The police department has taken several initiatives for ensuring that traffic cops and the traffic brigade personnel get good facilities while manning the traffic on the city roads.
