‘It’s biggest solar project in South India’

Minister for Industries N. Amaranatha Reddy on Saturday launched the 2.5 MW powered Rooftop Solar Power Plant at the Amara Raja Growth Corridor at Mordhanapalle village of Yadamarri mandal, 10 km from here. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Chittoor district would provide the best amenities to the entrepreneurs, and Amara Raja group’s entry into solar power generation was a welcome sign, and it was a proud moment for the district, as it happened to be the biggest solar power generation project in South India.

A major fillip

“This gesture will go a long way in augmenting industrial revolution in Chittoor district and serve as a role model in the arena of solar power generation,” he said, projecting a major fillip to employment generation. He said that as per the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, major industrial entities in automobiles and food processing were brought to Chittoor district.

Single window system

Steps were also initiated for issuing all required permits for industrial needs within 21 days through single window system. He said that express highway, four-lane highway and Chennai-Bengaluru corridor project would further boost the industrial potential for Chittoor district. Collector P.S. Pradyumna, Amara Raja Group chairman Galla Ramachandra Naidu, former MLA Galla Arunakumari, senior TDP leaders and officials of various departments took part in the event. Earlier, the Minister also inaugurated the Commercial Entry Plaza at Amara Raja Growth Corridor.
