The strategic cooperation contract between The people’s Government of Hefei City and Tongwei Group was signed
The signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between The people’s Government of Hefei City and Tongwei Group was held. The ceremony was held by Li Bin, Secretary of the working committee and Director of Administration Commission of Hefei hi-tech zone. Leaders presented at this ceremony, including Wu Cunrong, Provincial party committee member of Anhui province and Party Secretary of Hefei, Han Bing, Municipal Standing Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Hefei, Wang Xiang, Vice Mayor of Hefei, Liu Hanyuan, Standing Committee Member of The 11th CPPCC and Chairman of Tongwei, Zhuo Yujiao, President of Tongwei, Hu Rongzhu, Vice President of Tongwei, and Xie Yi, Assistant of President and Chairman of Tongwei Solar Hefei Co.,Ltd.
According to the general plan of this strategic cooperation, of 2 sides. Tongwei Group will expand its solar cell project and establish new energy company in Hefei based on Hefei’s PV industry development and application planning to pursue PV’s application in the new energy field. The capacity of Tongwei Solar’s polycrystalline silicon solar cell is 2.3GW, combined with 1.8GW of Gintech Energy Corporation( Tongwei has become a shareholder of this company), having become the world’s first. Up to now, Gintech Energy(Thailand) Corporation is planning a cell capacity of 1GW and a module capacity of 450MW. The cooperation of the two sides can make a capacity of 5GW in total.
In the next 3-5 years, Tongwei Group plans to build a cell capacity of 5GW in Hefei to enhance the Group’s total capacity to 10GW. What’s more, Tongwei is planning to expand its layout in the fishery and PV integration project. The current economic shows a outstanding downward trend and most of the companies take a careful attitude in their investment activities and development. Tongwei’s investment becomes outstanding in this situation which shows Tongwei, as one of the largest private enterprises in Sichuan, puts up its determination of building the world-class clean energy supplier after the past 33-year growing.
During the signing ceremony, Wu Cunrong, Provincial party committee member of Anhui province and Party Secretary of Hefei had a deep exchange of views with Chairman Liu,. Mr. Wu introduced the detail information of Hefei’s investment and development situations. He pointed out that based on the economic environment, Hefei gains fast and quality development, most of the economic growth indicators have been listed in the top 10 cities of China, some of the key economic indicators are at the forefront, so are the number of the quoted companies. Hefei has a promising future and environment for enterprises to increase enterprise revenue.
Chairman Liu, expressed Tongwei’s passion of investing in Hefei and Hefei’s positive economic situation introduced by Mr. Wu had enhanced Tongwei’s confidence of developing in this city.He pointed out that, since the recombination in November 2013, after two years’ development, Tongwei Solar (Hefei) CO.,LTD has achieved full production and keeps its operation efficiency of 100%-120% and has become the world’s most production of solar cells as a single factory. It has also achieved its advantages in cost and quality and is planning to increase the capacity constantly to consolidate its position in this industry.
