The Indian solar module manufacturer Vikram Solar has reached the 1 gigawatt production capacity milestone. In doing so, the company is contributing to the Indian government’s target of reaching 100 GW of installed solar energy capacity by 2022. Attainment of this target will make the Indian solar market one of the largest in the world. Gyanesh Chaudhary, CEO at Vikram Solar, is planning to further increase the production capacity to 2 GW by 2020.
