CPIA: China’s Production of PV-Grade Polysilicon Rose by 32.3% YoY for February – EQ Mag

On March 21, China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) release a summary on February’s domestic production for the key materials and components of a PV system. According to CPIA, domestic production of PV-grade polysilicon fell by 3.8% MoM but rose by 32.3% YoY for February. Domestic production of PV-grade silicon wafers registered a MoM increase of 20.3% and a YoY increase of 16.2%. In particular, mono-Si wafers accounted for about 98.4% of the monthly total. Domestic production of PV cells fell by 0.2% MoM but rose by 31.2% YoY. In particular, mono-Si cells accounted for about 97.8% of the monthly total. Domestic PV modules production registered a MoM increase of 39.5% and a YoY increase of 86.3%. In particular, mono-Si modules accounted for about 99.6% of the monthly total. Lastly, domestic production of solar inverters showed a MoM increase of 73.3% and a massive YoY increase of 241.4%.
