In one of the biggest ever subsidy program launched for promoting and encouraging green mobility, Delhi Govt will provide subsidy upto Rs 1.5 lakh for anyone who wish to buy an electric vehicle.

Everyone is eligible for this subsidy, and it rolls out next week onwards.

Get Upto Rs 1.5 Lakh Subsidy For Buying Electic Vehicle

Under Delhi Govt’s new electric vehicle policy, any Delhite who wish to buy a new electric vehicle will Govt subsidy for the same.

Rs 30,000 subsidy will be provided for buying electric 2-wheelers, autorickshaw and goods carriers.

Rs 1.5 lakh subsidy will be provided for buying an electric 4-wheeler.

This EV policy for subsidy has been approved by the Delhi Govt, and the roll out is expected to start from next week onwards.

Get Govt Subsidy In 48 Hours

As per information shared by Delhi Transport minister Kailash Gahlot, the subsidy for buying electric vehicles will be provided within 48 hours of the purchase.

Besides, registration fees and road tax also have been waived off for the buyers of electric vehicles.

Subsidy For Buying Electric Vehicles: How Will It Work?

ICICI Bank has developed a custom-made software for Delhi Govt and vehicle dealers, for processing this Govt subsidy for the electric vehicles owners.

At the time of the purchase of the electric vehicle, the automobile dealers need to use this software and input the details, which goes straight to the Delhi Govt.

Once the details are received, Govt officials will process the subsidy, and directly transfer the same to the vehicle owner’s bank account.

The entire process is fully automated.

However, the eligible electric vehicle dealers and sellers will need to be registered with Delhi Govt’s Transport Department to be able to access and use the software.
