Experience of 7-14 years in tendering and proposals. Also some past experience in execution would be required so that he/she understands the DNA of how a plant works.
Experience in solar industry on MW scale projects is a must have. Should have completed atleast 2 projects in solar.
This a presales role hence the candidate should be well versed with tendering, estimations, RFP/RFQ, proposal making. Should be a good support to bidding team and business development team.
Should be strong in communication as this involves a lot of business interfacing.

Role Summary/Purpose Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment.
Essential Responsibilities Develop proposals; negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing. Contributes to sales plan in a specific region. Defines sales strategy for targeted clients. Products and systems requiring technical knowledge. Some customization to client conditions can be done. Cooperates with (technical) sales support to realize sales. Is leading a department with medium-sized estimated orders.Shall be responsible for Tendering activities of Turnkey Solutions for Renewables (Solar)including AIS / GIS substations 66/132/220 kV,AC Balance of System (BoS) Solution at 11 or 33 kV,Solar Inverters,DC BoS Solution,EPC for Solar
Interface with Engineering & Sourcing for vetting of Solution & Costs,Vendor offer validation wrt completeness of offered scope, salient technical parameters, QA and TTR,Able to draft & propose Specification for Renewables as per prevalent Business practices,Identify risks & opportunities involved in above type of projects,Should be able to ensure optimized BOQ & drawings/layout,Understands interfaces.Cost Estimations,Tender Reviews & Approval processes (Go No-Go, Risk Analysis, Tender Approvals),Fair knowledge of equipment used in Renewables (e.g., circuit breakers, instrument transformers, insulators, switchgear, power transformers, Inverter Transformers, SCADA, MV Switchgear, AC & DC Cables etc.),Driving Technical & Commercial discussions and negotiations with Customers.
Discussions on Draft Contract / POs,Handing over of project to OTR team,Support the OTR team in Bridging the gap with customer during the execution phase, if any.
Qualifications/Requirements B.E / B.Tech-Any from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Sales). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Proposals.
