
Madhya Pradesh Unveils New Policies to Boost Investment Ahead of Global Investors Summit 2025 – EQ

In Detail : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s cabinet has approved several key policies ahead of the Global Investors Summit 2025. These decisions aim to attract investment, boost industrial growth, and create employment opportunities in the state. The policies cover multiple sectors, including semiconductors, renewable energy, textiles, food processing, and film tourism.
One of the major announcements includes the Industrial and Economic Development Policy, which provides special incentives for projects above ₹500 crore. Sectors like renewable energy, biotech, and telecom with investments over ₹250 crore will also receive benefits. Exporters will get 50% freight reimbursement, with a cap of ₹2 crore over five years.
The Semiconductor Policy 2025 has been introduced to encourage semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. The government expects an investment of ₹2,700 crore and the creation of 14,400 jobs in the next five years. Key incentives include capital investment grants, subsidized land, and electricity tariff discounts.
To promote green energy and sustainable investments, the state will provide 50% financial assistance, up to ₹10 crore, for clean energy projects. Subsidies will also be given for zero-liquid discharge infrastructure. Additionally, strategic hubs for solar, wind, and green hydrogen investments will be set up to support the sector.
The textile and food processing industries will benefit from direct financial aid. Textile firms will receive ₹5,000 per worker per month for five years, while food processing units will get 1.5 times the standard incentives and power tariff subsidies of ₹1 per unit for five years. These measures aim to make Madhya Pradesh a key hub for these industries.
A Film Tourism Policy 2025 has also been introduced to attract filmmakers. Financial assistance of up to ₹2 crore for feature films, ₹1.5 crore for web series, and ₹1 crore for TV shows will be provided. The policy also includes single-window clearance and infrastructure support for cinema halls. These initiatives aim to make Madhya Pradesh an investment-friendly state.
