NRDC and India-based Council on Energy, Environment and Water have released a report showing that India’s bold agenda to boost clean energy and fight climate change can put hundreds of thousands of people to work across the country in the renewable-energy industries.

The report, “Greening India’s Workforce: Gearing Up For Expansion of Solar and Wind Power in India” shows that India’s clean energy goals have the potential to put about 35,000 people to work in wind power, almost 60,000 in utility solar, and almost 250,000 in rooftop solar jobs over the next five years.
