NSEFI Chairman Pranav Mehta says “This tender and the price discovered scripted a new chapter in the history of Solar in India”
National Solar Energy Federation of India, the apex body for Solar energy policy advocacy in India expressed its happiness over the success of recent SECI IX tender which discovered a historic low tariff of INR 2.36/- per kWH. Talking about this development NSEFI Chairman Pranav R Mehta said “This is truly a historic moment in Indian Solar history. With this price we have scripted a new chapter in India’s Solar Journey. Indian solar sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Honorable Minster Shri R K Singh, has achieved many strides over recent years. This tender which witnessed many foreign investors’ participation is the manifestation of international investors’ confidence in Indian Solar industry.
Chairman Mehta also said “Over the last 3 months even while there was lockdown imposed there were 3 successful reverse auctions held, all three equally historic. This shows the resilience of Indian solar Sector, the vibrant ecosystem of Indian solar industry and continuous and reliable support from the government of India.”
Chairman Mehta also expressed is happinessthat “I am very happy that NSEFI members continue to make history and contribute to the saga of India’s Solar journey. At NSEFI we are very proud of these members”
