Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on the immense importance of infrastructure in the development process, as he laid foundation stones for many projects in Jharkhand on Thursday. Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of a multi-modal terminal at Sahebganj on River Ganga. Forming an important part of the waterway from Varanasi to Haldia in West Bengal, the terminal will revolutionize the waterways transport system in this part of the country. Prime Minister echoed the sentiments, as he addressed the gathering at Sahibganj, saying that, with the terminal, the area was ready for all round connectivity and development.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the Govindpur-Jamtara-Dumka-Sahebganj Highway. He said that such a hugely important project will bring its benefits to the local population in due course of time. Prime Minister also distributed Certificate of Appointment to constables of Paharia Special India Reserve Batallion 1 & 2. He was particularly delighted at the sight of youth from extremely backward parts of Jharkhand in govt service uniforms. Prime Minister distributed Smart Mobile Phones to women entrepreneurs of Sakhi Mandal. He also dedicated a Solar Power Facility at the Sahebganj District Court premises and Sahebganj District Hospital during the visit.
