Quality & Testing Engineer

Job description
You will be part of Robotics and Motion (RM) division which offers a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators, power electronics systems, rectifiers, power quality products, photovoltaic inverters, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and robots. These products help customers to improve productivity, save energy, improve quality, and generate energy.
Tasks
Supplier Quality assurance:
Selection and Evaluation of new suppliers through Assessment Audits and Re-evaluation of existing suppliers through performance monitoring.
New supplier Development along with SCM. Providing the specifications to supplier, monitoring and developing to produce quality products
Implementation of supplier development initiatives like supplier training programs, Business Review Meetings, Supplier performance monitoring and corrective actions review with individual supplier during monthly FPY review meeting.
Periodic process Audits at supplier’s place covering entire process from incoming material till final product dispatch.
Assisting suppliers in solving critical problems through joint investigations, 8D actions, continual improvements
Quality Management System & OPEX
Driving QMS for LBU as Management Representative, coordinating for internal audits, external audits in line with ISO 9001:2008 standard.
Driving ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 systems certification activities in the LBU.
Monthly tracking of KPIs / OPEX data for LBU & co-ordination for actions in case of gaps. Presentation of the same to Management.
Driving 4Q projects initiating savings and Continual Improvement projects for LBU.
In Process Quality Assurance
Interaction with customers during inspection during FAT & explain the quality process to the customer & to ensure required information during inspection.
Monthly tracking of Production & Engineering FPY and co-ordination for actions in case of gaps.
Co-ordination and Handling of Technical and NPS related Customer complaints through CCRP system and monitoring the acknowledgement & resolution within the time frame.
Provide training to employees on 5S, Kaizen, 4Q, problem solving tools and maintain records.
Functional expertise in managing Low Voltage Drives cabinets and Solar Drive Cabinets Testing
Able to do the Troubleshooting of LV drives Cabinets
Able to handle customer inspection.
Knowledge in PLC programming
Conducting of Combined testing of Motors and Drives Cabinets at customers place
Requirements
Qualification – Dip / BE – Electrical Engineering with 8Yrs of relevant experience.
