Raghubar urges people to install solar power plants in their homes

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today urged the people to install solar power plants in their homes so that the state can move ahead on the path of green revolution. Addressing the people after inaugurating the roof top solar plant at Garhwa civil court premises here, he said the state government was committed to provide to the people of the state basic infrastructure along with pure air, drinking water and clean environment.
He said, the state government was installing solar power roof tops at all the government buildings as it would also help to reduce pollution and in the days to come, his government would give a gift to the farmers of the state in the area of green revolution. He urged the farmers to adopt the system so their income also increases. Mr Das said that the solar power roof top installed at the civil court premises by JREDA has been built at Rs 1.32 crore and said similar types of solar power roof tops have been installed at Khunti and Sahibganj and in the next three months similar plant would be installed at Gumla. He said, it was the result of the initiative of justice D N Patel that a solar power roof top has been installed at the Garhwa civil court. Mr Das said that the government has started moving ahead in the area of green energy. He said the state government was working with the aim to provide power in 32,000 villages of the state by 2018 while by 2019 the work of 2/3rd of distribution line would also be completed. The Chief Minister said that the state government would also work to illuminate the residential areas of urban cities like Jamashedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro and Deoghar before the Durga Puja. Justie Madan B Lokur of Supreme Court of India, Acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court D N Patel, Cabinet Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi, MP Palamu V D Ram and Garhwa MLA Satyendranath Tiwari were present on the occasion.
