SPML Infra surges 20%, bags orders worth Rs 800 crore

Shares of SPML Infra rose 20 percent intraday Monday after orders win from different states in India. The company has received several new order of approximately Rs 800 crore for power substation, rooftop solar power plant, water & wastewater treatment, and municipal waste management project from different states in India.

Under power substation segment, the company has got an order worth Rs 461.04 crore from Power Grid Corporation, Rs 73.45 crore order from Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam and Rs 56.48 crore order from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company.

The company’s water and wastewater treatment business received order worth Rs 90 crore from Dholera Industrial City Development, Gujarat and Rs 31 crore order from Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation.

The company has received an order of Rs 60 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam for e-SBM, an ICT platform under Swachh Bharat Mission. And Rs 22 crore order from Solar Energy Corporation of India. Subhash Sethi, Chairman of SPML Infra said, “The order for solar power projects is in line with our efforts to develop this renewable energy source to meet many challenges facing the world with benefits to people and the environment.” At 11:44 hrs SPML Infra was quoting at Rs 61.85, up Rs 6.05, or 10.84 percent on the BSE.
