Vikram Solar, the globally acclaimed EPC solutions provider and PV module manufacturer, successfully commissioned a 10 MWp capacity solar plant in Andhra Pradesh. The project has been developed under the PPA scheme between Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (abbreviated TTD) and Vikram Solar Pvt. Ltd. The project will facilitate green power generation to cater to the energy needs of one of the most famous religious landmarks in India. Mr. Gyanesh Chaudhary, MD & CEO, Vikram Solar Pvt. Ltd., commended the meticulous planning and aggressive work pace that team Vikram has shown in handling the project – “This project is yet another reiteration of our decade’s experience and superior quality standards in the execution of EPC projects. With this project, our total commissioned EPC project capacity has reached 305 MW in India, and we are looking forward to many more such projects to be executed in the near future.”

The solar plant is installed in TTD’s land located in Chittoor district. The plant covers approximately 67 acres of area and has a power generation capacity of 10 MWp. Vikram Solar has used Poly-crystalline non-DCR high efficiency modules to ensure maximum yield and performance consistency. The module range includes 310, 312.5, and 315 Wp modules. The generated power is being evacuated at 33 kv ratio and it is being fed to Mudivedu sub-station. The plant is also expected to save about 15,143.5 metric tonnes of CO2 annually. Mr. A. Venkateswarlu, B.Tech. Superintendent Engineer (Electrical), TTD, appreciated Vikram Solar’s efforts for such a speedy execution of operations. He also expressed that – “successful commissioning of the 10 MWp plant proves Vikram Solar’s credibility as one of the best EPC players and trusted PV manufacturers in India”.

Mr. Anupam Dhiman, Executive Director – EPC Solar, Vikram Solar added, “With thorough planning put in place right from the concept to its commissioning stage, we have been able to ensure quality at every step of execution to deliver the project.” Besides bringing green energy and saving approximately 4.5 crore in utility bills for TTD, Vikram Solar helped in creating employment in the region as well. Local graduates have been trained and hired while developing the project and will continue to work in O&M segment of the plant after project completion. Special training sessions were organized to train the local unskilled resource and the efforts have seen satisfactory results.
