
Adani Energy Solutions Posts Robust Q1 Growth with 71% Profit Surge and Infrastructure Push – EQ

In Detail : Adani Energy Solutions reported a significant rise in its net profit for the first quarter of FY26. The company posted a 71% year-on-year increase, reaching ₹539 crore, driven by strong operational performance across its key business segments.
Total income during the quarter rose 28% to ₹7,026 crore. This growth was supported by higher revenues from transmission services and the smart metering segment, as well as increased capital expenditure-related revenue.
The company’s EBITDA for Q1 stood at ₹2,017 crore, reflecting a 14% year-on-year increase. This was attributed to stable performance across transmission, distribution, and metering businesses, along with improved operational efficiency.
Cash profit also saw growth, climbing 15% to ₹1,043 crore. The rise was supported by lower depreciation costs, efficient capital deployment, and reduced tax outgo during the quarter.
Operationally, the company commissioned three major transmission projects: Khavda Phase II Part-A, Khavda Pooling Station-1, and Sangod. These additions expanded the company’s transmission network by 79 circuit kilometres.
Adani Energy Solutions’ under-construction order book rose to ₹59,304 crore. The addition of the WRNES Talegaon transmission project during the quarter further strengthened its project pipeline.
Capital expenditure during Q1 surged by 70%, reaching ₹2,224 crore compared to ₹1,313 crore in the same quarter last year. This reflects the company’s accelerated investment in energy infrastructure and project execution.
The smart metering business achieved a notable milestone by adding 24 lakh new installations in the quarter, bringing the total to 55.4 lakh meters. The company is currently installing 25,000 to 27,000 smart meters per day.
