Aerem Solutions Appoints Industry Visionary Nilesh Malani as Executive Director to Spearhead Consumer Business, Marketing and D2C Expansion – EQ
MUMBAI, India — Aerem Solutions, India’s leading innovator in sustainable energy procurement and financing platform, today announced the appointment of Nilesh Malani as Executive Director. A seasoned business leader and marketing luminary, Mr. Malani joins the leadership team to drive the company’s Consumer Business, Marketing, and D2C E-commerce verticals.
Mr. Malani transitions to Aerem following an illustrious career spanning over two decades, where he held pivotal leadership roles at some of India’s most iconic corporations.
Most recently, as the Global Chief Marketing Officer at Waaree Group, Mr. Malani played a key role in transformative brand building and spearheading the company’s highly successful IPO – the most subscribed in India’s history. He also drove business development for the new category of Flexible Modules, expanding market frontiers.
Prior to his tenure at Waaree, Mr. Malani served as the CMO at Polycab India Limited, where he established the entire marketing vertical from the ground up. He successfully scaled new product lines in Wires and FMEG categories, introduced a refreshed brand identity and positioning, secured global ICC sponsorships, built a comprehensive digital marketing ecosystem, and launched the company’s e-commerce business.
His professional journey also includes significant leadership stints at industry giants such as JSW Steel, Castrol and Asian Paints, where he was known for his ability to blend structural discipline with disruptive innovation in scaling Retail businesses and Brand building initiatives.
Recognized as a prominent thought leader, Mr. Malani is a frequent voice in the marketing and business fraternity. He is widely respected for his insights on the “Next Gen” of retail and his ability to pivot traditional industries toward a digital-first future.
