Amendment in the Import Policy conditions for specific items under **Chapters 70, 73, 84, and 85** of the **ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule – I (Import Policy).**

### **Key Provisions:**
1. **Mandatory REEIMS Registration:**
* Importers of certain items used in **solar and wind energy projects** must register on the **Renewable Energy Equipment Import Monitoring System (REEIMS)** of the **Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)** before import.
2. **Applicable Items & HS Codes:**
* **For Solar Energy Projects:**
HS Codes: **70071900, 85414200, 85414300**
* **For Wind Energy Projects:**
HS Codes: **73082019, 84833000, 84834000, 85016420, 85016430, 85023100, 85030090**
3. **Registration Guidelines:**
* Applications must be filed:
• At least **2 days before import** (air cargo)
• **5 days before import** (sea/land cargo)
* Each registration is valid for **3 months**.
* **No registration fee** is charged.
* Registration is **port-specific** but allows multiple consignments.
* Importers must **declare the end-use** of the products/components.
4. **Mode of Import:**
Applies to imports via **air cargo, sea cargo, and land routes**.
5. **Effective Date:**
* The revised import policy conditions will be **effective from 1 November 2025**.

### **Effect of Notification:**
The import policy conditions for the listed items under **Chapters 70, 73, 84, and 85** have been **amended** to ensure monitoring and traceability of renewable energy equipment imports through REEIMS.
