Ceigall India Wins 130 MW Solar EPC Contracts in Madhya Pradesh – EQ

In Detail : Ceigall India Limited has announced the receipt of solar EPC orders totalling 130 MW in the state of Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant addition to its renewable energy portfolio. The contracts have been awarded under the government’s PM-KUSUM programme, reinforcing the company’s growing focus on clean energy infrastructure.
The orders have been issued by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and fall under Component-C of the PM-KUSUM scheme. This component focuses on the development of grid-connected solar power projects aimed at strengthening decentralised power generation and improving energy availability in rural and agricultural regions.
The combined value of the EPC contracts is estimated at around ₹550 crore, including applicable taxes. This makes the project a major milestone for Ceigall India in terms of both scale and value within the solar EPC segment.
As part of the project scope, Ceigall India will undertake complete end-to-end execution. This includes detailed engineering and design, procurement of solar modules and balance-of-plant equipment, construction activities, testing, and final commissioning of the solar power plants.
The solar installations will be grid-connected and developed across two districts in Madhya Pradesh. These projects are expected to enhance the state’s renewable energy capacity while contributing to improved grid stability and reduced dependence on conventional power sources.
The construction and commissioning phase of the projects is scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the date of award. Once operational, the plants will be supported by long-term power purchase agreements, ensuring revenue visibility over the project lifecycle.
In addition to EPC execution, Ceigall India will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the solar plants for a period of 25 years. This long-term responsibility highlights the company’s capability in managing asset performance and ensuring sustained energy generation.
