DCNT Global Powers Ahead with 3 GWh Battery Storage Plant in Pune – EQ
In Short : DCNT Global has commissioned a 3 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) plant in Pune’s Khed City. Set to begin production in Q3 2025, the automated facility will support industries, utilities, and communities. It aligns with India’s goal of 500 GW non-fossil energy by 2030, boosting solar and green energy integration through reliable energy storage solutions.
In Detail : DCNT Global has successfully commissioned a 3 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) facility in Khed City, located in Chakan, Pune. This marks a significant step in India’s growing focus on sustainable energy infrastructure, particularly in supporting the country’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
The fully automated plant is scheduled to commence production in the third quarter of 2025. It is designed to cater to a wide range of users, including industries, utility companies, and local communities that require stable and uninterrupted power supply.
This BESS facility will play a key role in integrating renewable energy sources such as solar and wind into the grid. By storing excess energy and releasing it when needed, the system helps maintain grid stability and ensures a consistent energy flow even during demand fluctuations.
The project supports India’s broader goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil energy capacity by 2030. Energy storage systems like this are essential in managing the intermittency of renewable sources and in reducing reliance on fossil-fuel-based backup power.
DCNT’s initiative aligns with national priorities to modernize the energy sector while promoting self-reliance in clean technology manufacturing. The facility is also expected to contribute to local employment and technological development in the battery storage domain.
With this new BESS plant, DCNT Global positions itself as a key player in India’s energy transition journey. The company aims to continue innovating in energy storage and expand its footprint across the country to meet the growing demand for clean and reliable power solutions.
