## ⚡ Background
1. **Conciliation Mechanism:** Introduced via OM on **29.12.2021**, amended on **25.04.2022**.
* Purpose: Settlement of contractual disputes in power projects executed by CPSEs/statutory bodies.
2. **Constitution of CCIEs:**
* Three CCIEs created on **22.03.2022**.
* Coal mining expert added on **03.05.2022**.
* Shri L.C. Goyal, IAS (Retd.), empanelled in CCIE-3 replacing Shri P.S. Kharola on **23.11.2023**.
3. **Earlier Extension:** On **04.03.2025**, tenure of CCIEs extended for 6 months from **22.03.2025**.

## 🏛️ Current Order (08.09.2025)
* **Approval:** By Hon’ble Minister of Power.
* **Decision:** Tenure of all three CCIEs **extended for 6 more months from 22.09.2025**, or until constitution of a new panel, whichever is earlier.
* **Conditions:**
* CCIEs will continue to function under the **Standard Operating Procedure (OM dated 29.12.2021)**.
* Other terms & conditions of engagement remain unchanged.
