In Short : Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution business has secured major orders worth ₹5,000–10,000 crore across India and the Middle East. The contracts include establishing 400 kV transmission lines and substations in India and expanding grid infrastructure in Gulf countries. These wins strengthen L&T’s global presence in power transmission and support energy transition goals.

In Detail : Larsen & Toubro’s power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business has secured significant orders for grid infrastructure development in both domestic and international markets. In India, the company has bagged contracts for the construction of 765kV and 400kV transmission lines aimed at integrating a renewable energy zone in Andhra Pradesh. These lines are a key component of India’s ongoing grid modernisation and green energy corridor initiatives.

In the Middle East, L&T’s PT&D arm has received turnkey orders to implement a series of 220kV and 132kV Gas Insulated Substations (GIS). The orders come from prominent transmission asset owners and operators in the region, reinforcing L&T’s strong execution record and technological edge in the segment.

“These wins mark a strategic milestone in our ongoing efforts to build resilient and future-ready grid infrastructure,” L&T said in a statement. “They also align with the global push toward energy transition and sustainable power systems.”

The company’s PT&D business continues to expand its global footprint, delivering high-voltage transmission lines, substations, and integrated solutions that support the shift toward renewables and bolster grid reliability.
