The details of the MoU were presented by Mr. Hardik Adhiya, Chief Operating Officer, Onix Renewable Ltd, outlining a portfolio of high-impact renewable energy and infrastructure projects aligned with the national priorities for energy security, decarbonization, and employment generation. Onix Renewable Ltd Honored as First Winner under PM-KUSUM-C at Vibrant Gujarat 2026
Onix Renewable Ltd has emerged as a pioneer and market leader under the PM-KUSUM Component-C scheme in Gujarat. The company has been conferred with an award as the First Winner for Charging the Highest Number of Solar Projects in Gujarat under PM-KUSUM-C, a recognition that underscores its execution excellence, speed of project commissioning, and strong coordination with state utilities.
This achievement reflects Onix Renewable’s proven capability in delivering large-scale, distribution-level solar projects, contributing significantly to decentralized power generation, reduction of technical losses, and enhanced grid reliability across rural Gujarat.
Key Investment Proposals Under the MoU
Green Ammonia Production Facility – Fulzar, Taluka Vinchiya, District Rajkot, As part of its long-term strategy in green fuels, Onix Renewable Ltd has proposed the establishment of a Green Ammonia production facility at Fulzar, Taluka Vinchiya, District Rajkot, with a proposed investment of ₹10,000 crore. The project is envisaged to create around 1,500 employment opportunities, with commercial operations targeted to commence in 2028. This flagship project will play a critical role in supporting India’s emerging green hydrogen and ammonia ecosystem and advancing national decarbonization objectives.
PM-KUSUM Component-C Projects (Multiple Locations across Gujarat)
Onix Renewable Ltd has proposed the implementation of PM-KUSUM Component-C projects at multiple locations across Gujarat, with a total proposed investment of ₹121 crore and ₹280 crore. These projects are scheduled for commencement in 2026 and are expected to generate approximately 680 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The initiative will significantly contribute to decentralized solar power generation, grid strengthening, and enhanced energy access for agricultural and rural consumers.
Underground Cable Infrastructure Projects (Multiple Locations)
To enhance power system reliability and modernize distribution infrastructure, the company has also proposed underground cable works at multiple locations, involving a proposed investment of ₹75 crore. These projects are planned to commence in 2026 and are expected to generate approximately 200 employment opportunities, contributing to improved safety, reliability, and resilience of the power network.
