Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal formally inaugurated the project at the Community Centre in Sector 15. The total cost of the project is estimated at ₹2.4 crore. The work is expected to be completed within three months. Once operational, each facility’s energy demand will be fully met through solar power. Municipal Commissioner R.K. Singh urged officials and contractors to ensure quality execution of the project. He said the systems should be installed using high-grade materials and be completed within the deadline to avoid any future lapses in power availability. He also stressed regular monitoring and maintenance for long-term success.
The electricity generated will not only meet the daily needs of these buildings but also allow surplus energy to be fed back into the grid.
