Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu — Raasi Group has unveiled plans to establish a 300-acre Green Energy, Hydrogen, Battery Manufacturing and Recycling Industrial Cluster, marking one of India’s most comprehensive and integrated clean-energy investments to date .

The proposed cluster will house a 5 GW battery pack manufacturing facility, 1 GWh cell plant, 100 TPD compressed bio-gas (CBG) and 80–100 TPD green hydrogen production hub, a 50 MW solar + BESS plant, a 20 TPD battery-recycling unit, and an MSME-focused battery industrial park. The total investment commitment stands at ₹3,230 crore, with over 8,000 jobs expected to be created across direct and indirect employment streams.

Designed as a circular, vertically integrated ecosystem, the cluster aligns with Tamil Nadu’s Industrial Policy, EV/Battery Manufacturing Policy, and the National Green Hydrogen Mission. It will support domestic manufacturing, reduce import dependency, drive R&D and innovation, and position Tamil Nadu as a global destination for advanced energy technologies .

Raasi Group has sought customised support from Guidance Tamil Nadu, including capital incentives, SGST reimbursement, and facilitation for approvals and infrastructure.

With its strategic location, port access, pipeline connectivity, and high solar intensity, Ramanathapuram is poised to become one of India’s leading green-energy corridors.
