Reitz India Powers Its Future with 650 kW Rooftop Solar, Saving ₹9 Million Annually and Advancing Green Manufacturing – EQ
In Short : Reitz India, a leading centrifugal fan manufacturer, has installed a 650 kW rooftop solar system at its Isnapur facility in Andhra Pradesh. The system now meets 45% of its energy needs, saving about ₹9 million annually, including ₹6.7 million in power bills. Using Goldi Solar and Saatvik modules, the project enhances sustainability and reduces grid dependency.
In Detail : Reitz India, a prominent manufacturer of industrial centrifugal fans, has taken a major step toward sustainability by commissioning a 650 kW rooftop solar system at its manufacturing facility in Isnapur, Andhra Pradesh. The initiative is part of the company’s long-term commitment to reduce operational costs and embrace cleaner sources of energy to power its production units.
The rooftop solar system now supplies nearly 45% of the facility’s total power requirement, significantly lowering its dependence on conventional grid electricity. By adopting solar energy, Reitz India has not only reduced its carbon footprint but also strengthened its resilience against rising power tariffs, which often affect industrial profitability in energy-intensive sectors.
The installation was carried out in two phases—an initial 500 kW system was commissioned in May 2023, followed by an additional 150 kW capacity added in July 2025. This phased implementation allowed the company to optimize performance and integrate the new system without disrupting its ongoing manufacturing operations.
High-efficiency TOPCon solar modules sourced from Goldi Solar and Saatvik Solar were used in the project. These panels are known for their superior energy output and durability, ensuring consistent power generation throughout the year. The system has been designed to generate an estimated 60,852 kWh per month, equivalent to around 2,550 kWh per day.
The transition to solar has brought substantial economic benefits to Reitz India. The company reports annual electricity bill savings of ₹6.7 million, in addition to approximately ₹2 million in tax benefits. Together, these figures translate to total annual savings of nearly ₹9 million, greatly improving operational efficiency and cost competitiveness.
Before the solar installation, Reitz India’s annual power expenditure was around ₹14.04 million, with monthly bills averaging ₹1.17 million. The solar system has significantly reduced these expenses, freeing up capital that can now be reinvested into core manufacturing processes, product development, and future sustainability projects.
The rooftop installation utilizes the company’s expansive shed roofs, converting unused space into a productive energy asset. The system also features a real-time, web-based monitoring platform that tracks energy output, detects anomalies, and ensures maximum system performance through data-driven maintenance practices.
By integrating renewable energy into its operations, Reitz India is setting a strong example for other industrial manufacturers. The company’s move reflects a growing trend in the manufacturing sector, where clean energy adoption is being driven by both economic and environmental imperatives. It demonstrates how sustainability and profitability can work hand in hand.
This initiative aligns with India’s broader push toward renewable energy adoption under its national clean energy mission. Reitz India’s solar transition not only contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also highlights the vital role of industrial players in supporting the nation’s green growth agenda and advancing the vision of a sustainable, energy-secure future.
