Under the agreement, Siemens Gamesa will deliver 103 of its SG 14-236 DD offshore wind turbines. These next-generation turbines feature a 236-meter rotor and are among the most powerful models currently available in the market. They are designed to provide higher efficiency and reliability in harsh marine environments.
The Gennaker project is located near the Darss-Zingst peninsula in northeastern Germany. It plays a crucial role in supporting the country’s energy transition goals and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The wind farm is expected to supply clean electricity to nearly one million households.
Skyborn Renewables emphasized that this collaboration marks a significant milestone in the project’s development. The agreement not only secures cutting-edge turbine technology but also strengthens the timeline for construction and commissioning.

Installation of the turbines is scheduled to begin after the completion of preparatory work, including grid connection infrastructure and offshore foundation installation. The project is expected to be fully operational before the end of the decade.
