In Short : True Power Limited is setting up a ₹100 crore, 1 GW solar module manufacturing plant in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh—its first in the state. The fully automated facility will produce high-efficiency TOPCon modules and is expected to be operational within six months. The project will boost local employment, support domestic solar manufacturing, and align with India’s clean energy goals.

In Detail : True Power Limited has announced the launch of its 1 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. This marks the company’s entry into solar panel production, with a total investment of ₹100 crore allocated to the project.

The facility will feature fully automated production lines and will focus on manufacturing high-efficiency TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar modules. These modules are known for their improved performance and durability, supporting India’s shift to advanced solar technologies.

Located in a tier-2 region, the plant is expected to become a cornerstone for industrial development in Barabanki. It is the first solar module manufacturing unit of its scale in Uttar Pradesh, adding significant capacity to the state’s renewable energy manufacturing base.

True Power is already an established player in solar earthing systems, mounting structures, and turnkey EPC services. The new plant will expand its product offerings and allow the company to offer more integrated clean energy solutions.

The project is projected to be completed and commissioned within six months. Once operational, the factory will create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in the region, contributing to the state’s employment and economic goals.

The manufacturing unit is aligned with India’s efforts to boost domestic solar production and reduce reliance on imported components. It also supports government policies like the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) and the Make in India initiative.

This development comes amid growing solar manufacturing activity in Uttar Pradesh, with other companies like SAEL setting up large-scale facilities in nearby regions such as Greater Noida. Together, these investments are turning the state into a major solar manufacturing hub.

By investing in solar module manufacturing, True Power is playing a key role in India’s renewable energy transition. The plant is not only a business expansion but also a commitment toward clean energy, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth.
