Ygrene Energy Fund announced today that its award-winning YgreneWorks™ PACE (property assessed clean energy) program has created 1,945 jobs and generated an estimated $324 million in economic stimulus across Florida since 2013. Working hand-in-hand with its growing network of trained and certified local contractors—536+ small business partners—Ygrene has funded 5,485 PACE projects in the state totaling $129M, meeting demand for greater climate protection echoed from the statehouse in Tallahassee to city hall in Miami.

Since January 2016, Ygrene has financed more than three times as many projects as it did in the entirety of 2015 solidifying its position as the leading PACE provider in the Sunshine State. To support this growth and a full pipeline, Ygrene recently opened a new office and state-of-the-art call center in Doral. This expansion has created more than 50 new jobs.

“Supporting small businesses is essential to keep Florida’s economy thriving,” said Miami-Dade Commission Chairman Jean Monestime. “I applaud the work Ygrene has done to bring in new and innovative jobs and bolster local economies in our county.”

Florida’s Small Businesses See Ygrene as a New Business Catalyst

“Since we started offering Ygrene financing to our customers, our business has grown ten-fold and, now, nearly 90% of our clients are utilizing YgreneWorks for their financing. I’ve hired 65 new employees and am looking for additional retail space to keep up with demand.”
– Robert MacKinnon, SMART Efficient Solutions

“I’ve been working with Ygrene since day one and the program has been essential to growing my business across Southern Florida. When I started, we were a one-man operation and now we are the largest solar installer in the tri-county area.”
– Raul Vergara, Cutler Bay Solar Solutions

“At Ygrene, building resilient communities extends to supporting our local, small business allies, and arming them with innovative financing products to deliver more clean, efficient and resilient property upgrades,” said Stacey Lawson, CEO of Ygrene Energy Fund. “As the most experienced PACE provider in Florida, we’re proud to expand our operations to help even more Floridians experience the economic, as well as environmental, benefits of PACE financing.”
