Powergrid Energy Services Commissions 85 MW Nagda Solar Plant – EQ
In Short : Powergrid Energy Services Ltd, a subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India, has commissioned an 85 MW solar plant in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh. Operational from April 24, 2025, the project aims to offset 1.2 lakh metric tons of CO₂ annually. Developed at ₹554.91 crore, it supports POWERGRID’s goal of sourcing 50% of its power from renewables by 2025.
In Detail : Powergrid Energy Services Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID), has announced the successful commercial operation of its 85 MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Plant located at Nagda, in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh. The plant commenced commercial operations effective April 24, 2025.
This significant addition to the renewable energy capacity in the region underscores POWERGRID’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the solar power sector through its subsidiary.
