Jaideep Malaviya is elected to the Board of Directors of International Solar Energy Society (ISES) for the two year period 2022 to 2023. There were 19 nominations received globally for the Board of Directors and Malaviya was amongst the top 11 to get highest vote.

In his candidature statement, Malaviya stressed need to motivate young scientists and entrepreneurs from India to develop indigenous technologies to enable India fulfil its ambitious goals of solar energy. He also expressed desire to hold the ISES Solar World Congress in India that will enable the world to come and see the commendable work undertaken in the solar energy so as to make it amongst the top 5 growing nations.

Malaviya also stressed the need to thrust the ISES movement in India being the world’s oldest Solar energy NGO by inviting professionals to join.

As a gesture of 25 years of long service put by professional long service ISES had also honoured Malaviya by featuring in the 50 most influential persons promoting Solar energy.

The International Solar Energy Society (ISES) is a global organization for promoting the development and utilisation of renewable energy. ISES is a UN-accredited NGO headquartered in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. SES was formed in 1954 as a worldwide non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the utilization of solar energy.

ISES is now active in over 110 countries worldwide. Its members include scientists and researchers, plus many others from industry, solar energy associations and other private and public organizations.
