The solar panels will be operational from the month of October 2019. In total, there will be 1697 number of solar panels installed on the rooftop of the hotel. The total installed capacity takes care of almost 33% of the hotels’ power consumption, bringing Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat’s CO2 emission down by 810 tons per year, with an estimated annual generation of 8,17,600 KWh, whereas, daily generation of electricity is estimated to be at 2,240.00 KWh.

SETTING A new trend in Karjat, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa has installed a captive Solar PV Plant across 56,000 square feet on their roof, which will generate enough solar power for the hotel’s daytime operations. Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat, which nestles amidst lush natural beauty, is actively involved in practices towards green living, and as part of this endeavour, installing solar panels is their first step towards saving Mother Nature and help conserve resources like water and environment in general.

Recognizing the genuine danger that harmful gases pose to our environment via the burning of fossil fuel, and the effects it may cause to our future generations, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat has invested a substantial amount for installing this captive solar PV plant, reducing the hotel’s overall carbon footprint in the region. A substantial quantity of energy is consumed by the hotel industry to provide comfort and efficient service to its guests. Utilizing a cleaner and less expensive energy source will lessen operational expenses and increase effectiveness and sustainability. Use of solar power is the only reasonable option for various types of businesses to source their own energy that can be used to heat, cool and light buildings. Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat has installed the new photovoltaic (PV) solar panel system that converts sunlight into electricity via cells.
