The Prime Minister highlighted that Saurashtra and Kutch possess exceptional natural advantages, including high solar irradiation, strong wind potential, and vast land availability, making the region ideal for large-scale renewable energy deployment. These inherent strengths have enabled the rapid development of solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects that are transforming the regional energy landscape.
He noted that the region is home to some of the most ambitious renewable energy initiatives in the world, including massive renewable energy parks that integrate solar and wind power. Modi also emphasised the growing role of Saurashtra–Kutch in India’s green hydrogen ambitions.
