Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the State Assembly to present his government’s first annual budget. The Budget session started with Opposition ranting about deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The Opposition parties disrupted the Question Hour session at the parliament. Samajwadi Party leaders raised their voices and protested against the government with banners and posters.

2:15pm: The Budget session in Uttar Pradesh Assembly has concluded. After the Budget session, CM Yoginath attended a press conference.
1:45 pm: According to news agency ANI, Uttar Pradesh govt allocated Rs 21.12 Crore for free education up to graduation for girls under ‘Ahilyabai Kanya Free Education Scheme’. The govt also allocated Rs 800 cr for development of infrastructure in cities of Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura under ‘Prasad Yojana’. Rs 500 crore were also allocated under annual budget for preparation of ‘Ardh Kumbh’ to be held in Allahabad
1:25 pm: According to news agency PTI, Uttar Pradesh 2017-18 annual budget for Rs 3,84,659.71 crore is 10.9 per cent higher than last fiscal’s. UP budget provides for Rs 55,781.96 crore for new schemes.
1:20 pm: As per TOI report, the state government provides Rs 3255 crore for construction of toilets in the state. Another Rs 1000 crore has been provided for Swachh Bharat mission in UP cities. For the aid of school children, the state government allocated Rs 300 crore for the distribution of socks, shoes and sweaters. In a new scheme called as Besahara Pash Yojana for the aid of abandoned and stray animals, the government allocated Rs 40 crore.
1:18 pm: For development of water sports in Ramgarh Taal in CM Yogi’s Gorakhpur district, Rs 25 crore is allocated. Rs 50 crore provision has been made for WiFi scheme in the state, Times of India reported. The report further said Rs 2800 crore has been allocated for safe drinking water in Bundelkhand and Purvanchal.
1:15 pm: As per Live Hindustan report, the government announced 33200 police officials will be admitted. For Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Rs 3000 crore will be allocated. Rs 200 crore will be allocated for Bundelkand special provisions while Rs 800 crore was allocated for Prasad Yojna in Ayodhya-Mathura-Kashi regions.
1:10 pm: Uttar Pradesh government presented its first annual budget of Rs 3,84,659 Crore. Rs 36000 crore allocated from the budget for farm loans waiver. State Finance minister announced launch of groundwater conservation mission in his budget session along with a new policy for solar power in the state.
12:50 pm: Assembly Speaker Hridaynarain Dixit repeatedly requested the agitated members to maintain order, but the ministers refused to return to their seats. The Speaker later adjourned the House for ten minutes to control the situation.
12: 45 pm: The Budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly today got off to a rough start with opposition’s rant on the law and order situation in the state disrupting the Question Hour. Samajwadi Party leaders started raising voices and carried out protests against the ruling government for its inabiliity to omprove the law and order situation in the state.
