In Detail : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently laid the foundation stone for the ‘Bhoj-Narmada Dwar’ at Samardha on Narmadapuram Road in Bhopal. The initiative aims to reconnect the youth with the rich cultural heritage of the state by honoring historical figures like Raja Bhoj. The gateway will be constructed at a cost of ₹5 crore and is part of a larger plan to establish nine thematic gates at Bhopal’s major entry points. Each gate will reflect significant historical and cultural landmarks, enhancing the city’s identity.
During the same event, Chief Minister Yadav virtually inaugurated a 10-megawatt solar power plant in Neemuch, developed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation. The solar plant is expected to support the city’s water supply system, promoting sustainability and energy self-reliance. This step aligns with the state government’s vision to integrate renewable energy into essential services, minimizing carbon footprints and setting an example for other municipalities.
The Bhoj-Narmada Dwar project has been conceived to pay tribute to the legacy of Raja Bhoj, an iconic ruler who shaped the region’s historical narrative. The planned nine thematic gates will be positioned at Bhopal’s primary entry points, each symbolizing a unique aspect of the state’s culture and history.
