In Short : Suzlon Energy and Integrum Energy have secured 50 MW each of BPCL’s 100 MW wind power projects, located in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, respectively. These projects aim to power BPCL’s Bina and Mumbai refineries with renewable energy, supporting BPCL’s goal of achieving a 10 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2040 and promoting sustainable energy initiatives.

In Detail : Suzlon Energy and Integrum Energy have secured contracts from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to develop wind power projects, each with a capacity of 50 MW. This initiative is part of BPCL’s plan to expand its renewable energy portfolio, with the ultimate goal of achieving a 10 GW capacity by 2040. The total capacity of these projects amounts to 100 MW.

Suzlon Energy will establish its 50 MW wind project in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The project will be strategically located to take advantage of favorable wind conditions, ensuring efficient power generation. Suzlon, known for its expertise in wind energy, will manage the project from installation to maintenance, leveraging its established technological capabilities.

Integrum Energy, on the other hand, will develop its 50 MW project in Maharashtra. This project is similarly positioned to optimize wind resource utilization. Integrum’s involvement in this project highlights its growing presence in India’s renewable energy sector, focusing on integrating wind power into the energy mix of industrial users.

Both projects are intended to supply renewable energy to BPCL’s Bina and Mumbai refineries. By utilizing wind energy, BPCL aims to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and enhance the sustainability of its operations. These wind projects will play a vital role in helping BPCL transition toward cleaner and greener energy solutions.

BPCL’s commitment to renewable energy aligns with India’s broader goals of increasing clean energy capacity. By awarding these contracts to Suzlon and Integrum, BPCL is fostering public-private partnerships that can accelerate the adoption of renewable energy in industrial applications. The projects are expected to contribute significantly to BPCL’s energy needs while promoting environmental stewardship.

The collaboration between BPCL, Suzlon, and Integrum marks a strategic step towards sustainable energy utilization. As both projects move forward, they will not only contribute to BPCL’s green energy ambitions but also support India’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy security through renewable sources.
