Cabinet Decisions: Under Saubhagya Yojana solar panels to be put up at 7776 homes in 137 villages

Ranchi: The state government has decided that under Saubhagya Yojana a sum of Rs 28.18 crore with be spent for putting up solar panels at 7,776 homes spread across 137 villages of the state to provide them with electricity.

A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building here.

Briefing the press after the meeting Cabinet Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh said that under this scheme during the ongoing fiscal a sum of Rs 5.94 crore will be spent.

He said these are such villages where power cannot be provided through electricity grids.

Further the cabinet has also decided to make amendments in the salaries and other allowances of the cabinet ministers of the state.

As per the changes now ministers from the state will be able to avail treatment across any private hospital inside or outside of the state and the cost of the treatment would be borne by the state government.

If needed the cost of the air ambulance will also be paid by the state government.

The cabinet also gave nod to a proposal as per which a new DPR would be prepared for development of the science City located in Chiraundi of the state capital and for preparing the DPR the state government will make a payment of Rs 29.50 National Science Museum Kolkata.
