juwi Shizen Energy Inc. (“juwi Shizen Energy”) has completed construction of a 20MW(DC) solar power plant, an EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) project in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, and started its commercial operation in November, 2021.

This power plant was constructed on a site of approximately 48ha located in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture. EPC of the plant was conducted by juwi Shizen Energy, and juwi Shizen Energy Operation will perform the O&M. The annual output is expected to be approximately 27.8 megawatt hours, equivalent to the annual electrical power use of approximately 8,760 households.

juwi Shizen Energy has completed the construction of power plants amounting to a total of 425megawatts of combined peak output and is currently constructing power plants amounting to a total of 298 megawatts of combined peak output, which includes “Azuma Kofuji 1 Solar Power Plant” (100MWp(DC)) and “Pacifico Energy Sanda Mega solar(121MWp(DC)), which are two of Japan’s largest scale power plants.

juwi Shizen Energy will continue to use the knowledge and experience it has accumulated through its global operations, and aims to contribute to the increased use of renewable energy and the construction of a sustainable society, both in Japan and overseas, by providing EPC solutions that meet the needs of the local areas in which the power plants are constructed.
