In Detail : The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to develop 300 MW of solar energy projects across its establishments. The agreement aims to establish self-reliant, Net-Zero campuses at all major DRDO locations by 2027, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to sustainable operations.
The MoU was signed at DRDO Bhawan in New Delhi, in the presence of Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Secretary of the Department of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO, along with Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Their presence underscores the importance of the collaboration for India’s energy and defense sectors.
