Two experts from power management company Eaton will participate in panels discussing microgrid projects and smart inverter technologies helping support a more resilient and intelligent grid at Intersolar 2016, from July 11 through 14. Conference attendees can also connect with Eaton and see its electrical balance of systems solutions at booth #8311.

“According to 2016 figures from GTM Research, U.S. solar installations are expected to almost double this year,” said John Vernacchia, segment manager for renewable energy at Eaton. “At Intersolar North America 2016, Eaton will discuss the next generation of solutions helping address the impact of distributed renewable energy resources and support a more reliable, resilient grid, while reducing the cost of solar PV installations.”

Eaton’s Armen Baronian, an engineering specialist, will participate in a session titled “Balance of Systems: Inverter – the Pacemaker of PV Power Plants.” Baronian will discuss the architecture of smart grid-tied inverter systems that can serve as the brains of large-scale systems and enhancements to system safety, reliability and efficiency. His panel session is on Tuesday, July 12 from 4:40 to 5 p.m.

Vernacchia will serve as a panelist during a session titled “Renewable Energy Hybrid Systems: Coming of Age.” Vernacchia will highlight a microgrid case study that demonstrates technologies and services helping to support critical infrastructure even when the grid is off. The session will take place on Wednesday, July 13 from 3:20 to 3:45 p.m.

With a robust portfolio of electrical solutions and a team of experienced engineers, Eaton builds solar and energy storage systems tailored to customer requirements and provides the skills needed to successfully complete a project. During Intersolar North America 2016 conference and exhibition, Eaton will highlight its inverters and electrical balance of system (BOS) solutions for utility, commercial and OEM solar and storage customers.

Additionally, Eaton will showcase the capabilities of its Electrical Engineering Services and Systems Division, one of the largest and most experienced team of power system engineers in the industry. The expert team provides a comprehensive portfolio of services tailored for every stage of a power system’s life cycle, whether design, build or support.
