Eiffel Tower Lit Up With Renewable Hydrogen

For for the first time of its history the Eiffel Tower has been illuminated Tuesday using electricity produced from certified renewable hydrogen.

It’s been provided by zero-emission electro-hydrogen generators made by EODev, a fledgling company that resulted from research and development work carried out aboard the boat Energy Observer.

Energy Observer founder Victorien Erussard commented that if the hydrogen sector continued to develop then by 2050 “we could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20 per cent.”

Energy Observer is the first vessel in the world to both generate and be powered by hydrogen.
