
Electric vehicle recharging station inaugurated
Coimbatore : The city’s first 60 KW public electric vehicle charging station was inaugurated on Monday.
The initiative is a part of MG Motor and Tata Power. According to a statement, the public EV charging station installed at MG dealership is available to all vehicles compatible with combined charging system (CCS) fast-charging standard. Talking about the time taken for charging, the statement cited the example of MG’s electric SUV `MG ZS EV’ which can be charged up to 80% in 50 minutes at the facility.
Gaurav Gupta, chief commercial officer, MG Motor India, called upon India’s business leaders and industry veterans to actively participate and drive the much-needed change towards green and sustainable future.
Rajesh Naik, chief – New Business Services, Tata Power, said that as India moves towards the adoption of sustainable practices, the company will continue to provide customers with the best sustainable energy solutions.
