In Detail : EnVision 2025 which is India’s first energy festival, returns for its third edition from January 30 to February 1, 2025. Organised by IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP) and India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), this year’s theme, “Ground Zero for Net-Zero,” emphasises the urgent need for collaborative action in achieving a sustainable, net-zero future.
The event will bring together experts, innovators, and global stakeholders to explore grassroots and technological solutions for the climate crisis.
Climate action at the core
The event will feature expert sessions, workshops, and panel discussions on critical topics like renewable energy, climate policy, and sustainability. Special guest Sonam Wangchuk, a renowned climate activist and innovator, will discuss sustainable development.
Dignitaries from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and leading industry experts from organisations like First Solar, Indian Oil, and JSW will join the discussions, sharing their insights on clean energy solutions.
Innovative solutions and startups showcase
Envision 2025 will also highlight the technological areas crucial to India’s energy future, such as Green Buildings, Electric Mobility, and Green Hydrogen. The event will host the second edition of “Pitch to Win,” where startups will present their climate tech innovations.
Participants can expect an exclusive screening of a short film on climate change and its impact on Pulicat Lake, featuring community members and actors like Adithi Balan and Charles Vinoth.
